''Dracaena braunii'' is a species of the genus ''Dracaena''. It is also known as ''Dracaena sanderiana'', after the German–English gardener Henry Frederick Conrad Sander (1847–1920). Common names include Sander's dracaena, ribbon dracaena, lucky bamboo, curly bamboo, Chinese water bamboo, friendship bamboo, Goddess of Mercy plant, Belgian evergreen, and ribbon plant.〔 〕 Although the word ''bamboo'' occurs in several of this plant's common names, ''D. braunii'' is actually of an entirely different taxonomic order from true bamboos. Although some of its common names suggest it is from China or Belgium, it is a native African species. Keeping lucky bamboo inside houses and business places is believed to bring happiness and prosperity and this belief has promoted a huge sales of lucky bamboo shoots grown in decorative pots. In India, the plants are usually imported from China and Taiwan and resold in attractive pots and the plant has become the most popular indoor plant in certain parts of India.〔 File:Lucky bamboo spiral houseplant.jpg|Lucky bamboo spiral houseplant File:LuckyBambooNewRoots.jpg|Newly propagated lucky bamboo cutting with roots forming ==References== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Dracaena braunii」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
